A fixture of Austin just got a major facelift! Last month Four Seasons Hotel Austin unveiled a brand-spanking new lobby, lakeside restaurant, and a treetop lounge just in time for all of the holiday festivities.
The surrounding nature of the hotel’s location was the inspiration for all three spaces. The new lobby has one-of-a-kind details like an elegant chandelier made of blown-glass oak leaves and acorns and peekaboo floor-to-ceiling sculptural wood slats. There are also bold forms and authentic materials such as leather, rich wood, and Texas Leuders limestone.
That nod to Mother Nature is also visible in Live Oak, formerly known as the Lobby Lounge. The heart of the hotel features a central bar with a streamlined profile that accentuates the views, as well as a new deck that’s destined to become one of Austin’s top patios. Starting in 2019, Live Oak will also serve coffee, house-made pastries, authentic breakfast tacos, and other grab-and-go breakfast items for guests and downtown dwellers.
Replacing TRIO, which was the steakhouse in the hotel since 2008, is Ciclo a completely revamped restaurant that pays homage to the ever-changing seasons. As a restaurant inspired by nature, it’s fitting that Ciclo has more outdoor seats than indoor—112 and 90 respectively—a rarity in this city!
The menu offers a seamless blend of local flavors and global influences. Standouts include starters such as sweet corn empanadas and ceviche Amarillo, with lomo saltado, oak-grilled filet mignon and pan-seared sea bass among the signature entrees.
