Best Barre Studios in Austin

Barre focuses on small, pulsing movements that are incorporated from ballet. The exercise is typically in a room where ballet barres line the walls and the class uses resistance bands, yoga straps, exercise balls, and hand weights. Yoga and Pilates moves are also in the mix.

Most studios require you to wear grip socks—buy some before you go, they can be $15-20/pair in the studios.

Below are our favorite Barre studios in Austin.

Cedar Park (Coming Soon – Presidio retail complex on Parmer Lane and Ranch Trails Road)

Favorite Instructors: Kelsie (Downtown, super cute and great music!), Maddie S. (the hardest instructor, her classes are super intense with almost zero downtime, and her workouts are always perfectly synced with her music), Chris P. (her classes are so well thought out, very precise poses and she is extremely positive), Jessica K. (one of the original Barre3 instructors at the Downtown location, a Barre3 veteran and it shows, always keeps things fresh and challenging), Lee Lee (she is always sure to tell you what muscles you are working, a very sweaty class!)
