Best Spin Studios in Austin

If you haven’t been to a spin class yet, you are missing out. Try going to one that is more rhythm based—you ride to the beat of the music and it really makes for a much more fun and interactive experience. Spin classes are heavy cardio where you can burn 500-800 calories a class!

This is perfect for someone that wants to integrate more cardio into their exercise routine but doesn’t like running. It’s a great way to drop a few lbs. and get that sweaty glow.

Favorite Studios:

LOVE Cycling Studio:

LOVE is sleek and clean. Started by Stephanie Kincheloe, this gym focuses on great music and choreography. They also have 60-minute classes on lunch breaks, and music video spin classes.

Locations: Downtown – 5th and Pressler (West of Lamar)

Favorite Instructors: David Garza (be ready for a dance party! he also does the 60 min noon classes for some Extra LOVE), Katie Abell (hip hop Saturdays are amazing), Allee Beaty (fresh from Nashville and always playing the best music), Bryan Gonzales (Music Video Rides!) & Megan Knight (be ready to sweat and stay on beat!)

Cost: $24/class ($50, 3 Class Pack Special for new members)

Parking: Free Parking Garage connected to building

LOVE Cycling Music Video Ride

SoulCycle:

Soul has studios all over the nation and instructors have to travel to NYC for a 10-week training. They have great music, and the classes really push you!

Locations: Downtown in the Frost Tower (5th and Congress) and Domain Northside (the corner across from WeWork and Perry’s)

Favorite Instructors: Christy (hit up her Wake & Drake Class Tuesdays @ 7 a.m. Downtown), Chris Chandler (try a Soul Survivor class with him – one hour long and has some bootcamp/weight elements)

Cost: $30/class (not on ClassPass), or $60 for a 3 Class Pack Special for new riders

Parking: They validate parking in the Frost Parking garage for Downtown Studio, and for the Domain – free parking in garages (or in the lot behind Capitol One Bank)

Ride:

The OG spin studio of Austin. With three locations now, they probably have the largest following in ATX. Always known for excellent music, this place just feels like family, especially if you’re a part of their signature #ridetribe.

Locations: Downtown at 2nd and Lavaca next to 3 Forks, Westlake at Walsh Tarlton & Bee Caves Road, next to Cava, and Bee Caves in the Hill Country Galleria near Whole Foods and Barnes and Noble

Favorite Instructors: Allie (has taught in Houston and Austin Ride Studios for five years!), Tara (the best music and dance moves), Tasha (her body is insane!), and Mark (try his Mark after Dark classes)

Cost: $23/class (First class is free!)

Parking: Downtown – Amli or City Hall Garages, they validate (bring your parking pass in with you), Westlake – free parking in lot, Bee Caves – free parking in lot
