Today is a marvelous day for an Austin tradition like no other, Eeyore’s Birthday. This is day that our city pays tribute to the ever-so-famous and dependably pessimistic character from Winnie-the-Pooh.
It’s also a kid-friendly event. Artists will be offering face painting and temporary tattoos, and groups will be selling food, soft drinks, juices, Texas beer, and more. Eeyore’s Birthday is one of the city’s most fun and well-known cultural events. It also serves as a fundraiser to benefit nonprofit groups in Austin.
