This annual Pet Parade on South Congress is beloved by all who have ever come across it—because it’s hard not to love animals parading down the street in ridiculously adorable outfits with a marching band.
It starts at Annie and ends at the Jo’s parking lot, where there will be a costume contest emceed by Lyndon’s twin and local celebrity chef Lou Lambert. The judges will be well-known locals like Dale Watson, Andy Langer, Steve Wertheimer, and others. Then you can hang out for a few hours to eat, drink, and ogle a lot of great looking animals while a band or two plays.
You can register your pet at the marching line or you can just march without competing. All proceeds go to the Austin Humane Society!
Don’t miss this unique experience overlooking Austin’s beautiful Lady Bird Lake. While using Sound Off headphones to stream music and the teacher’s voice directly to you, you’ll be treated to an amazing vinyasa flow class.
