If you don’t have Easter plans yet, and you’re really not interested in anything that requires a seersucker suit, head over to Blue Owl Brewing for an adults-only egg hunt. Join fellow beer lovers in the tasting room for a special egg hunt and brewery tour. The rules couldn’t be more simple: Get a blue egg, get a prize! Trust me, you haven’t had this much fun since the Easter Bunny was still visiting your house.

The hunt includes a Blue Owl Brewing glass, four sample pours, and surprises!

Guests pay $20 upon arrival, cash or credit cards will be accepted.

When: Today, March 27th @ 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Location: 2400 E Cesar Chavez St.

If for any reason you woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning, this event is guaranteed to put you in a ridiculously good mood.

A parade of pets in their Easter finest will be promenading down South Congress with a full marching band! (Seriously that last sentence makes me so darn happy.) It starts at Annie and ends at the Jo’s parking lot, where there will be a costume contest, a bouncy castle, face painting, and a special appearance by the Easter bunny. For adults there will be live music by the Andrew Nafziger Trio, Frito pie, and cold beer. The best part? It’s all celebrating the memory of a dearly departed chihuahua named Dr. Grandpaw and proceeds from the event will benefit Austin Pets Alive!

When: Today, March 26th @ Noon – 3:00 p.m.

What a week to be a golf fan in Austin! Between the WGC Dell Match Play tournament and this Save Muny party, suddenly golf is everywhere you look.

Lions Municipal Golf Course is Austin’s oldest and most beloved public golf course, but it’s in danger of being bulldozed for new development. Opposition to this idea is strong and many members of the community want to make sure the landmark is preserved for future generations.

Tonight’s party will raise awareness for the Save Muny campaign as well as celebrate the past, present, and future of golf.

Enjoy lawn games and live music from Ramsay Midwood and special guests, cuisine from Maudie’s Tex Mex, refreshing drinks from Juiceland, Tito’s Vodka and Dulce Vide Tequila, and much much more!

Admission: $40

When: Today, March 25th

Time: 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

If you were already planning to get a drink (or two or three) with your friends after work, why not learn a little something while you’re at it? For astronomy buffs, Neil deGrasse Tyson wannabees, and those of us who wish we were back in college, Astronomy on Tap will be the perfect night out. Expert speakers will discuss fascinating topics like gravitational waves and the search for extraterrestrial life.

Here’s a rundown: “First up is Dennis Ugolini, from Trinity University and a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, who’ll be talking about detecting gravitational waves with Advanced LIGO. Next will be AoTATX alum and a co-organizer of AoT Baltimore, Joel Green, talking about the search for life in the Universe. After that we have Jayde Lovell, from SCIQ on TYT, talking about how to effectively argue against the anti-science lobby. And last but certainly not least, Summer Ash of Columbia University in the City of New York and Startorialist, will discuss real-life exoplanets that correspond to planets in the Star Wars Universe.

They’ll also have trivia, prizes, AoTATX merch, and free stuff!

If you this event sounds cool, you might also be interested in the University of Texas Star Parties which happen on Wednesdays. It’s a chance to check out the stars through UT’s powerful telescope.
