Lunch with a purpose. Join National Geographic photographer and avid conservationist, Joel Sartore, on March 20 as he takes the audience into his ambitious National Geographic Photo Ark project that was started 11 years ago in his hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. Hosted by The Nature Conservancy of Texas, the event will highlight Sartore’s photos from more than 40 countries with over 12,000 unique animals showcasing the urgent need for protecting at-risk species. In addition, the Conservancy will also spotlight their efforts to protect Texas’ famous lands and waters including the preservation of the monarch butterfly habitat, the endangered whooping crane and protecting vital wildlife corridors for ocelots in South Texas.
