Opening live on Halloween at the historic and haunted Driskill Hotel, in association with The Filigree Theatre, Shakespeare in the Dark: Macbeth is an immersive horror, live theatre experience performed entirely in pitch blackness. The removal of visual overstimulation leads to a state of sensory deprivation, leading audience members to appreciate why Shakespeare is still performed 400 years after his death: it's all about the language. By removing sight, the performance in darkness is inherently accessible to audience members who are blind or visually impaired, a demographic often denied full and equal access to theatre.
