Local artist Jack Sanders, founder of Design Build Adventure, a working studio and collaborative design, architecture, art, yoga, welding, and baseball community, launched his first local solo exhibition, Big Flat Art Show, featuring more than forty works on paper, at PREACHER gallery.Big Flat Art Show consists primarily of work from four series, each an exploration of material and, much like their maker, a triumph against delineations. His pieces will be on display through April 25th, and after his fantastic opening reception earlier this month, there are still a few stunning pieces available to purchase in person or online at shop.preacher.co.

Waller Creek Conservancy has added live music to the three-month, multifaceted event series in conjunction with the public art exhibit, New Monuments for New Cities, on display at the corner of Red River St. and 12th St. through May 31. Two free shows are scheduled at Waller Creek Conservancy’s headquarters at Symphony Square in the heart of downtown Austin. A joint art initiative developed by the High Line Network, the exhibit opened in Austin on March 2 and features the work of 25 artists, five of whom represent Central Texas.
