AFS Doc Days, our second annual festival of non-fiction cinema, features outstanding new documentary work from around the world with filmmakers in attendance. Doc Days is an opportunity for Austin’s vibrant documentary community, filmmakers and audiences, to come together, see new work, and meet with visiting filmmakers. Join Hill Country Conservancy on National Trails Day to celebrate the grand opening of the Slaughter section of the Violet Crown Trail! The inaugural 5K run and 1K walk-and-talk will begin on the VCT at Slaughter at 7:30 am and end at Sendera Park for food, fun and festivities. Runners and walkers will be treated to tacos, coffee, water and goody-bags generously provided by REI. Kicking off on March 23 with the Guy Forsyth Blues Band, this free 10x music series hosted by Austin City Limits Radio features local favorites such as Nakia, Dale Watson and Fastball.
