The Laura’s Library Artisans’ Market is a craft show featuring 40 Austin area artists, a large silent auction and 2 food trucks. This is a juried show with all handmade, high quality items and minimal overlap between types of items. All proceeds benefit student scholarships, as well as various library programs always offered free to the public. Indoor and outdoor booths, rain or shine. Free admission and parking. Located just 3 miles West of Hwy 360 at the Laura Bush Library (9411 Bee Cave Rd.). TalkAbout is a program that facilitates casual conversations with artists and the people who inspire them. Preetika Rajgariah (b. 1985) is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice explores themes of cultural identity, perceptions of exoticism, and gendered materiality while specifically referencing her upbringing as an Indian born American.
