Big Medium is hosting EAST, a local art crawl dedicated to bringing attention to Austin artists! This year, Latinitas teamed up with EAST as one of the community partners! Latinitas is a local non-profit that encourages girls to innovate through media and technology. As a community partner, Latinitas will host art from female artists and entrepreneurs in office. Artists will include Katy Schmader, Haley Lebeuf, Silvia Nikolov, and Lucia Briones. This event will take place over the course of two weekends from Nov 16-17 to Nov 23- 24 from 12-6pm. Bring the whole family for an afternoon of free and creative activities related to our current exhibitions! Make your own marble run and construct with colorful cardboard in Nikita Gale: EASY LISTENING; play with slime and modeling clay while exploring ideas of preservation and decay in Material Vice; create a sci-fi collage combining technology and the body in Maria Antelman: Mechanisms of Affection; and go back to summer camp with handmade toys and newspaper hats in Kenneth Tam: Details. Curious minds of all ages welcome. Tasty fall refreshments will be served!
