Art Alliance Austin is celebrating Austin’s diverse art scene with the 69th annual Art City Austin Festival in Republic Square park. This event will showcase their Convergence Fair art market, with up to 80 visual artists, designers, installation artists, artisans and makers showcasing and selling their wares. Fun for friends and family, the festival will also include local musicians, performance artists, live food demonstrations by local chefs, food trucks, boozy bevies, kid activities and other interactive experiences.
The festival offers two ticket choices: General Admission and VIP. This year, the Art City Austin Festival presents Gallery 35, which will showcase specially-created artwork by contemporary abstract impressionist Roi James and will benefit Art Alliance Austin. The event includes a multi-course dinner by local chefs Nicholas Yanes of Juniper and Uncle Nicky’s and Melissa Carroll of Le Politique. The dinner will be paired with fine wines by Advanced Sommelier Paul Ozbirn and art-inspired cocktails by Nickel City and Uncle Nicky’s partner, Travis Tober. The night will incorporate live performances by Austin “Music Hall-of-Famer” Bill Carter, multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Rhodes and local artist and musician Bale Creek Allen on the drums. For an immersive experience, each element – from food and beverage to music – will be inspired by the work James’ is privately showcasing that evening. Tickets are limited for the event.
