atxGALS welcomes Spring Season with an intimate and fun art pop-up at The Refinery, located in the heart of downtown Austin.
Following their unique approach in changing the way art exhibits are typically done, the talented group will be transforming this urban space into yet another fabulous room full of incredible art from some of Austin’s top emerging talent. Meet the artists, sip on a cocktail from the open bar, and support the incredible cause behind it all– a portion of the proceeds benefit a local non-profit, Girls Empowerment Network.
The event will kick off at 6pm on Friday, April 19th and will feature the work of 10 emerging local female artists, music by DJ Diggy Dutch, open bar, small bites from local favorites, swag bags for all VIP ticket buyers, and a sweet raffle benefiting GEN.
**all ticket sales are final– no refunds
Join us on April 6th from 7 – 10 pm for the opening of two very special shows. We’re proud to feature 25 new works from two Canopy artists: Kiah Denson and Santiago Escobedo-Garcia. Enjoy the art from our continuing shows for Stephen Paul Connor, Shelley Schmoker, Christina Moser, Sarah Frankie Linder, and Annie Ray, as you sip on complimentary cocktails sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
But wait, there’s more… we are coordinating our opening with BCA Gallery’s collaboration with DEASIL, featuring the work of Liz and Maurice Trevino, so it will truly be a night to remember.
Invenio is a full-service creative advertising agency at Canopy in east Austin. We also have art openings in our two beautiful spaces, and we look forward to seeing you at this one.
One of Austin’s oldest and most unique toy stores (they recently moved from the drag to 2nd street) is hosting their 5th Annual Art Show. The Toy Joy Art Show brings artists together from all levels of experience. Some works are by people who just picked up a paintbrush, while others are created by more experienced artists.
The art reflects the vibrant idea of youthful imagination and is a reminder of the unparalleled enjoyment that comes from making art at any age.
Speaking of Toy Joy, I definitely recommend stopping by there if you’re looking for a random gift idea. They have tons of classic toys and unique artifacts that are sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
