Browsing instagram one day I stumbled across the Austin Blanks account and that was the beginning of an instant love affair. I am obsessed with their calendar and notecards; the quality is top notch.
It’s February, how did that happen? If you still don’t have your calendar this is the one for you. It’s the only Calendar that accurately defines Austin through it’s beautiful mix of iconic Imagery, playfulness and just the right amount of Weird.
Right now when you purchase a calendar they’ll send you a fun mix of Austin postcards AND notecards!
Something super cool about Austin Blanks is that they don’t not use any image that is copyrighted without consent from the artist themselves or through their legal team. They pride themselves on that because when you buy an image that is copyrighted and legit, the money goes back to the artist and the community.
Currently, they’re one of only a small few local companies legally allowed to use ‘HI, How are you’ and the upcoming ‘Love is the Question, Love is the Answer,’ by Daniel Johnston, all thanks to Tom Gimbel of Austin City Limits. I love that they take care of the artists. Austinties doing it right.
