At AutFest Texas we will raise awareness in a broader community about life with autism. Through film we can show a range of ages and abilities, challenges and triumphs, (however big or small), that living with autism can bring. Viewers can also witness the dedication and support needed to give individuals with autism the greatest chance of reaching their full potential. Through film, we tell our story.

Austin is the No. 8 Most Facial Hair Friendly City in America. To celebrate, men’s grooming leader Wahl will park its 30-foot mobile barbershop at the Pecan Street Festival Sept. 22-23, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Master Barbers will be on hand offering FREE facial hair trims while seeking out the guy with the best scruff to represent the city as Wahl Man of Austin. That guy will win $500 and go on to compete for the ultimate title of Wahl Man of the Year. The event is part of a 10-city facial hair trimming tour, and also supports a good cause. For every facial hair trim performed, Wahl will donate $1 to ZERO, the leading national nonprofit with the mission to end prostate cancer.

Dubbed the ‘mane’ event, the Wahl Man of the Year contest gives facial hair enthusiasts the chance to go mano a mano in a facial hair face-off. Wahl will select one guy from each tour stop location and one guy from online entries. These lucky few will be crowned champion of their city and go on to compete for the ultimate in facial hair glory, the Wahl Man of the Year title.

Finalists will each win $500 and Beard Grooming Gear. Online voting will then help determine who wins the Grand Prize, which includes the title of Wahl Man of the Year and $1,500. Men can enter by visiting Wahl’s Mobile Barbershop, or by uploading a picture on the Wahl Grooming Facebook page. More information can be found at WahlUSA.com.
