Wake up, it’s brunch! The best part about a long weekend is there is an extra brunching day, so let’s do it right and head to Banger’s. Try the ManMosa, a liter mug filled with a bottle of champagne—yes, a whole bottle—topped off with a splash of cranberry or OJ. If that’s a little too aggressive, you can check out the Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary bar.

There will be live music from noon until 3 p.m., and your pup is always welcome to come join the party (they even have special sausage just for dogs).

Brunch at Yellow Jacket Social Club is the perfect way to get your day started. This casual setting serves up a pretty solid menu. The Shrimp and Grits was great but the table favorite was the The Mister, a smoked ham and gruyere Panini with béchamel topped with an egg was pretty much the most amazing thing ever.

They offer plenty of outdoor seating on their patio and you can bring your dog. It’s an easygoing casual setting one that you can easily find yourself letting brunch turn into afternoon drinks, especially on a day like today.

Post brunch it’s time to get ready for some football, you can stay here or wonder somewhere else.  Here is our list of the Top Ten Places to Watch the NFL in Austin.
