We’ve got lots to celebrate this Memorial Day Weekend, including the release of our summer seasonal beer. Fanny Pack Kölsch is a crisp, German summer beer with uncompromising style. One bodacious brewski, each sip evokes that sweet snap of your plastic fanny pack buckle. Paired with the righteous flavors of Pinch Boil’s Viet-Cajun crawfish, you’re sure to have an awesome Saturday.
We’ll also be celebrating the newest change to our taproom: Beers To Go! We’ll be running discounts on all 6-packs, cases and kegs to go. Be the coolest person at that Memorial Day party you’re headed to.
The crawfish: $14.95 per platter! Each platter includes ~1.5LBs of garlic butter crawfish as well as sausage, corn & potato!

With these lower spring temps here to (hopefully) stay, take advantage and get outside for Soursop and St Elmo Brewing’s second annual Crawfish Boil on Sunday, April 15. Taking place at the brewery from 12 to 8pm, enjoy live Cajun music by Charles Thibodeaux and The Austin Cajun Aces and grab a 3-pound basket of Viet-Cajun Style Crawfish from Soursop, cooked up with garlic butter, Thai basil, and secret seasoning, served with potatoes, corn, and garlic toast. Baskets are $20 while supplies last. And trust us, they will go fast. The event is family and pet friendly.
The Local Post is excited to host their second annual all-you-can-eat Crawfish Boil on Saturday, April 14, beginning at 1 p.m. Tickets are now on sale for $18 at The Local Post Pub or can be purchased on the day of the event for $25 at the door.
In addition to all-you-can-eat crawfish, the afternoon will include drink specials, including $4 Hornitos margaritas, yard games on the large patio that include cornhole, Jenga, a giant checkers board, and more. This is the trailer in town to come to if you are looking for some unique Cajun cooking. They have a variety of options from live crawfish, to alligator, to amazing gumbo.
I would definitely recommend the gumbo since I have pretty high gumbo standards. It was great, flavorful, and filling. They are also known for their crawfish so make sure you treat yourself.
There is something about eating at a food truck. Nine times out of ten I am blown away by the service. They have a lot of unique options coming from a trailer so your best bet would be to talk to them and get their opinion if you are unsure of what to order. The trailer has the local feeling and friendliness that I enjoy so much about visiting trailers around town.
The NATY (North Austin Trailer Yard) has a great atmosphere, a playground, and plenty of seating so it’s a fun place to check out.
I’ve said it before, but I’m always amazed at what I can get from a trailer. It’s never ending.
Hours: Tuesday – Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
