Kira Willey is an award-winning children’s music artist, kids’ yoga & mindfulness expert, speaker, and creator of Rockin’ Yoga school programs. Kira’s four releases of yoga albums for kids have all won numerous industry awards and earned national acclaim; her hit songs include “Colors,” which was featured in a worldwide Dell ad campaign. Her most recent release is Every Voice, winner of Parents’ Choice Gold, that Foundation’s highest award.
Kira’s TEDx talk, “Bite-Sized Mindfulness,” can be viewed online, and her children’s mindfulness book, “Breathe Like a Bear,” was published in December; it’s been translated into eight foreign languages so far. PBS TV affiliates nationwide air several different yoga-for-kids programs Kira created and hosts, and her “Music You Can Move To” series with kids’ music superstar Laurie Berkner can be heard daily on SiriusXM Radio.
Kira leads Professional Development days for teachers, conducts music and yoga workshops, speaks at education conferences, and performs Rockin’ Yoga School Assemblies and Concerts with her band nationwide. She also leads the River Valley Choir, plays fiddle in the bluegrass band Moonshine & Millet, and is a founder of the area’s new singing-is-for-everyone experience, Pop-Up Choir!
The Inflatable Run & Festival Comes to Austin’s Travis County Expo Center on September 22, 2018
1 Mile / 5K Inflatable Obstacle Course Includes Full Day of Entertainment with Costume Contest, Live Shows, Food Trucks, Carnival Games and a Gigantic Water Balloon Battle
The most unique 5K run ever designed will be held at Austin’s Travis County Expo Center. The Inflatable Run is a family-friendly event featuring a mile-long course built entirely of kid-friendly, colorful, inflatable obstacles to duck under, bounce off, climb through, and slide down, which racers can run three times, for a total of 5K. The area will be packed with live music, food carts, carnival games, face painting, magic shows, inflatable Zorb balls to ride, a massive water balloon battle and a costume contest. Kids can also meet The Inflatable Run mascot, “Mr. Wacky”, who is, himself, an inflatable tube man. Ideal for families or even company gatherings, the Inflatable Run is suitable for all ages.

The event benefits Just Care More, a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged, foster and special needs youth. Parents and kids will race through the inflatable obstacle course, dance to live music, or indulge in a tasty treat, all while knowing profits from the run will be donated to a charity helping at-risk youth learn life lessons thru the discovery of hobbies and passions.

Touch-A-Truck is a fun-filled event for families to bond as their children explore the vehicles they’ve seen in movies, books, and just driving around town. From fire trucks and ambulances to backhoes and bulldozers, Touch-A-Truck has them all!
SAFE events like this directly support the hundreds of children in our care who receive housing, healing, and support. Touch-A-Truck represents what SAFE is all about: happy, healthy families in our community!
Over 6,000 kids and parents will head to Camp Mabry on Saturday, May 12. In addition to Vehicle Zones, this year’s event will feature a Kid Zone with petting zoo, face-painting, barrel train rides, and much, much more.
General Admission is $5 per person. VIP Admission is $25 per person – VIP includes early entrance so you can skip the lines and be the first to honk all the horns! Limited quantity available!

Austin Scottish Rite Theater’s production of Pancho Rabbit and the Coyote, adapted for the stage by Susan Gayle Todd, from the original book by Duncan Tonatiuh.
A Migrant’s Tale: Pancho Rabbit meets danger at every stage of his journey to find his missing Papa, but the greatest danger of all is his untrustworthy guide. Kids and grown-ups alike will be inspired by this resonant and powerful story. Original live music by Chris Ledesma and stunning renditions of Tonatiuh’s award-winning illustrations fill the Austin Scottish Rite stage.
From the original book by Duncan Tonatiuh, adapted for the stage exclusively for Austin Scottish Rite Theater, Pancho Rabbit and the Coyote is the winner of several awards including Pura Belpré Author and Illustrator Honor, Kirkus Best Books of 2013, Best Multicultural Children’s Books 2013, Notable Children’s Books from ALSC 2014 and others.

Trouble on the Double

Best suited for kids ages 4-10 years old, Trouble on the Double follows the story of young twins who may look alike but have very different personalities. While one is brave and not afraid to try anything, the other is timid and does not like to take any risks. Can these siblings learn to balance each other out? How much adventure is fun and how much is dangerous? Hepp-Galvan’s newest play for Pollyanna will have audiences both thinking and laughing as the action unfolds. Cost: $12.50-$16.50.
Deep Eddy Pool Splash Party Movie Night: Raiders of the Lost Ark
