    More Information:

I had one of those weeks where I felt like the Downtown Farmer’s Market kept coming up in conversation. I thought it seemed like the perfect time to just go ahead and blog on it.

This downtown market is year-round, rain or shine, and it’s also one of the oldest farmers markets in Austin. My sister is getting a masters in sustainability and is very excited that I’m blogging on it. I like it because you get a chance to support local farms and businesses. I see it as win for everyone.

This is hands down one of the best farmers markets in the city. It’s constantly expanding, so you’re sure to find some treasures. Once you spend a Saturday morning wandering around, it might just become part of your normal routine.

Spring and summer are my favorite times to hit up the farmer’s markets because they’re loaded with lemonade and summery-juices, which double as great mixers. Also, this is a great stop to find gluten free options!
