Children, it is time to put those art skills to the test for a chance to win amazing chocolate! Delysia Chocolatier will host our annual chocolate Easter egg decorating competition on Palm Sunday, April 14th.
Children from all over Central Texas are invited to visit our Culinary Center. You will be given a white chocolate Easter egg & edible ink markers for creative decorating purposes. The decorated eggs will be photographed & posted on Delysia Chocolatier’s website, our community & followers will vote for their favorite. The top three eggs that receive the most votes by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 21st will receive a golden egg filled with our chocolate truffles, barks, and molded chocolates. The winners will be announced on Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter on Monday, April 22nd.
Parents, as your children decorate their eggs, you’re invited to kick back, relax and enjoy a complimentary drink at our Culinary Center. We look forward to you joining us!
Family fun is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Y at the Park: Family Play Day! Kids will enjoy age-appropriate booths and games alongside their parents. Families will also get to participate in the Family Fun 1K Challenge/walk through Mueller Lake Park!
In addition to learning about YMCA programs, kids can jump from activity booth to activity booth (there will be over 15 booths to explore) learning about Summer Camp, Project SAFE, Early Learning Readiness, and more!

Not one but TWO fabulous Dia de los Muertos events are happening this weekend – one in Austin, one in downtown Round Rock! Gather with your loved ones to remember friends and family members who have passed on and celebrate their lives at these annual festivals. Both are family-friendly and will feature processions, activities for kids, food and drinks, live music and more.
Viva la Vida Festival & Parade
Austin’s largest and longest-running Day of the Dead event features a grand procession and street festival with artist vendors, live music, food trucks, and community altars. Art activities for children and families will be also be available in the neighboring Frost Bank Tower Plaza, where the public will have an opportunity to take pictures with parade props, including large-scale moving sculptures and mojigangas. Additionally, the festival grounds have expanded this year to include Brazos Hall, where the public can enjoy even more vendors, face painting, lively performances, and a costume contest.

Dia de los Muertos Procession and Festival
Join the Williamson County Hispanic Heritage Committee, Round Rock Ballet Folklorico, City of Round Rock, Round Rock Arts and Univision for the fifth annual Dia de los Muertos procession and festival. Día de los Muertos is a traditional Mesoamerican holiday dedicated to the ancestors; it honors both death and the cycle of life. There will be crafts and activities for kids and art, craft and food vendors. Featured performers are Las Fenix.
