    The winter triad of Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces begins on the shortest day of the year, December 21st. With no fire element in this trio to provide ‘outside’ warmth, we are given the gift of staying inside, going inward, reflecting on our lives, and the paths we are on.

    The winter signs are associated with the regions of the body nearest to the earth: our base. By strengthening our mountain climbers, hundreds, and banana poses, we provide a solid foundation for walking with purpose through the year ahead.

    With Aquarius as her moon sign, the betterment of individuals and humanity comes to Celeste naturally. Growing up in a culture where astrology was considered the “norm”, it resonated with her from an early age. In this unique monthly program, Celeste weaves together her experience as a Pilates teacher with her passion for Astrology.

In this thoughtful workshop, you will learn proper balancing warm-ups and techniques for staying confidently in single-legged postures.                   Stop by Poppy and enjoy a fun fitness event with Lillian June Wellness! Connect with other families in our community and let the kids play!

                  Take some time for yourself and your family during the rush of the holiday season to sweat, stretch, and socialize!

                  We will have coffee, Richard’s Rainwater, snacks, and room for the kids to run free. The workout will include a full-body cardio + strength session with a yoga cool down. Lorna Jane will be on site with free fittings and their latest apparel!

                  $5 registration for the workout or $15 with child care (age 4 and under). Older kids are welcome to participate in the workout or place in Poppy’s fun play area. Space is limited to 25 adults so register today!

                    Ladder is a wellness platform that matches people with the right coach for them based on their goals, experience level and personality. Coaches create and share personalized workouts with their clients through our platform and can chat through the platform. We seek to help people build new habits to create lasting change and believe that health is the result of many small decisions made over time.

                    On Saturday, October 19th, we’re hosting a party to celebrate the opening of HQ, our official Ladder office and gym. We’ll be joined by friends, family, investors and some new Austin-ite faces!

                      We know that improving health in our communities requires collaborative work with partners outside of our organizations, disciplines, silos, sectors, and comfort zones. Cross-sector work is key to preventing chronic disease, addressing social determinants of health, improving health equity, and receiving the greatest value from our health dollars. We also know that cross-sector collaboration can be difficult. But we believe Texas is up to the challenge. At this year’s Healthier Texas Summit, we will hear stories and enter into conversations not only about our collaboration successes, but also about where it gets hard, and how challenges can be resolved, so we can more fully unite for a Healthier Texas.
