Believe in the magic of Miracle on 5th Street! The sensational Christmas themed pop-up bar has returned to The Eleanor. Guests can enjoy more of Miracle this year with extended hours as the pop-up will open at 2 p.m. daily, and at 12 p.m. from Thursday, December 19 through Christmas Day. In addition to decked out halls and even more over-the-top winter wonder, this year brings the miraculous addition of a worldwide “Ugly Sweater” party at participating Miracle outposts on Monday, December 2nd. All Miracle on 5th Street guests brave enough to don their tackiest, ugliest holiday sweater receive a shot of complimentary Christmas cheer upon arrival. On Monday, December 9th, Austinites can sing out their holiday spirit during a special evening of Christmas Karaoke. The 2019 cocktail menu from Mace’s co-owner, Nico De Soto, and Miracle manager, Joann Spiegel, features celebrated classics as well as exciting new frosted features such as the SanTaRex cocktail and a new Mistletoe shot. The pop-up will also feature a small chalkboard menu of Christmas-inspired cocktails and shots created in-house by The Eleanor’s talented team. The full cocktail menu is available at the main downstairs bar and the mezzanine bar. Last year’s addition of The Shot Ski Lodge returns for 2019 as well to serve up Snowball Old Fashioneds, Miracle Shots, beer and wine, single-spirit mixed drinks, and full-sized Shot Skis.
Alright everyone, we officially have plans the day after Thanksgiving and we aren’t shopping—we’re drinking. Christmas pop-up bar known as Miracle, is coming our way this holiday season and bringing themed cocktails that will make everything merry and bright:
“The New York-based pop-up will transform Roosevelt Room’s next-door event space The Eleanor into Miracle on 5th Street. The temporary bar will offer seasonally-themed cocktails and kitschy decor from Friday, November 24 through Christmas Eve on Sunday, December 24.”
Can you imagine anything more fun than having a Bad Santa (mulled red wine, tawny port, orange liqueur, spices, golden raisins) or a You’ll Shoot Your Rye Out (pumpkin-spiced rye whiskey, Budweiser, marshmallow syrup, egg) at this completely decked out holiday hot spot and then heading over to the Zilker tree and spinning around with your buds? The answer is no, no you cannot.
The holidays in Austin just keep getting better.
