Here we are Mid-November, and before you know it we’ll be ringing in 2014. Every year on New Year’s I do this to myself- I wait until the last minute in hopes of figuring something out, but by that time most parties are sold-out, and my night ends up being pretty anti-climatic. This year, I’m taking the reigns and planning ahead. I’m already compiling a list of parties, and I’ll be sharing details on some of my favorites in the upcoming weeks.
The first one I’ve seen that sparks my interest is what’s happening at The Goodnight. One of the most important aspects of choosing where to go for NYE is questioning if you’d be happy spending your entire night at the given venue. The Goodnight has enough activities to keep me entertained on a normal night; add an entire casino night theme? I’m in.
Get ready to party sin-city style in Austin, Texas. Admission for the evening includes unlimited bowling and table games (pool, ping-pong, etc.), 5K in chips for casino games, passed appetizers, and a midnight champagne toast. Fitting with the theme of the night, one lucky person will win be starting 2014 with travel plans (for two) to Las Vegas! Yup, the folks at the Goodnight will be giving away airfare and a two night stay at the Bellagio for one lucky guest!
It’ll be an all out party where you can jam out with the DJ, play ping-pong until the clock strikes midnight, or try to get some strikes in on the bowling lanes.
This is also a fantastic option for those looking to avoid the downtown chaos!
Tonight they are actually celebrating their One Year Anniversary from 10:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. They will have free pizza from 10 – 11, free games and discounts on drinks!

When: New Year’s Eve 2013
