The Elgin Christmas Tree Farm is just a short drive from Austin and offers families loads of fall fun each year at the annual Pumpkin Festival. Happening two weekends in October, this much loved event features bluegrass music, pumpkin decorating, duck races and plenty of space to play.

This cooler weather is pretty incredible and has me wanting to do all things fall. While pumpkin patches are always fun, going in this chilly weather really takes the cake.
Pumpkin patches make for a great photo opportunity, so don’t forget your phone and/or camera! Naturally, they have plenty of pumpkins to meet all your photo needs.
Pumpkin Tip: Last year I painted a few pumpkins with black chalkboard paint ( you can find that at Hobby Lobby and Home Depot) and changed the designs every few days! It’s fun and my friends loved it, I highly recommend it!
