And the best part about getting your real estate license in Texas? You can finish the classes needed for your state requirements in as little as three weeks. So what are you waiting for? Join AceableAgent and Berkshire Hathaway on Tuesday, October 2, for a step-by-step overview of the Texas licensure process, including the cost, education, and time required to become a real estate agent.

Wanna know the best way to keep local small businesses open? No, telling visitors ‘don’t move here’ isn’t it… the answer is to SHOP LOCAL yourself.

On Saturday, the Burnet Road Independent Business District will have an all day event celebrating small businesses. As we see longtime Austin favorites like Flipnotics and Toy Joy being forced to close their doors, it serves as an all too harsh reality that if shopping small isn’t part of your routine, more and more local businesses will close their doors as well.

So this Saturday, the Burnet IBIZ is making it even more fun to shop small. Several of my favorite locally owned business are partaking in this day of sales, specials, giveaways and more. All Austin, all locally owned.

Apothecary, Billy’s on Burnet and Upper Crust are just a few of the places on Burnet that I can’t get enough of. There’s a great variety of shops participating, with everything from great happy hour spots to salons and jewelers. Let’s head out and support these local spots that we know and love.

            When: Saturday, April 5th

            Time: All day
