Are you still feeling a bit of a SXSW hangover? Imagine how all those bartenders feel who’ve been working 12+ hour days for the last week and a half! It’s time for all of us to cut loose together and celebrate one of my favorite holidays of the year.

      St.Pattys-Table-Tent

The Goodnight is hosting a SIN (service industry night) St. Patty’s Day Party, all day today. Whether you’re coming off a ten day music bender or you spent SXSW working your tail off, today is still St. Patrick’s Day, and there’s no rest for the weary!

The folks at The Goodnight will help you celebrate this day of green everything with FREE bowling/pool/etc. AND FREE WHISKEY. You read that right, every person (21+ of course) who walks through the door will receive a free shot of Jameson!

Thanks to everyone who helped make this another successful SX- now go grab a drink, you’ve earned it.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, and may your luck keep on Dublin.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It’s our annual excuse to guzzle green beer all day and get sloppy drunk! Luckily, today is a Saturday, so nobody has to worry about going to work with a post-St. Patrick’s Day hangover.

B.D. Riley’s will be celebrating today by doing what they do best, serving lots and lots of beer. Not only do they have plenty to drink, but they also have food, and getting some food in your system is probably not a bad idea.

There is no cover for the B.D. Riley’s St. Patrick’s Day party.

As always, Fado’s Irish Pub will be having their annual St. Patrick’s Day party as well, http://www.fadoirishpub.com/austin/. Basically, if you know of an Irish pub, go there today.

Be safe out there, and may the luck of the Irish be with you always!

I love St. Patrick’s Day. It’s an easy holiday to embrace, as it’s pretty much devoted solely to partying. And drinking beer at an Irish pub on St. Patrick’s Day is pretty much a prerequisite. Last year I blogged on the craziness at Fado’s, so this year I thought I would cover a local Irish pub on the east side that also has a good party planned. Shockingly, I’ve actually acquired a taste for beer over the past year, so this is the first year I will not be drinking mixed drinks. Bring on the green beer!

BD Riley’s is your typical Irish pub. Am I the only one that thinks pretty much all Irish pubs look the same? Today they have a full day of live music lined up. The party starts at 11 a.m. There’s no cover, and no SXSW wristband is needed.

Lastly, my favorite St. Patrick’s Day pun: Here’s wishing you the luck of the Irish, and may it keep on Dublin!
