Looking for something to do with out of town guests this holiday season? Grab a sitter and head out to the beautiful Texas Hill Country to enjoy a wine tasting for up to four people at Kuhlman Vineyards.

Enjoy a signature food and wine tasting at beautiful Kuhlman Cellars in the heart of the Texas wine country! Kuhlman Cellars’ knowledgeable Sommeliers will guide you through five finely crafted wines paired with delicious light bites. After your tasting, lounge on the balcony and enjoy stunning views of Kuhlman’s seven acre vineyard.

The Giveaway: Wine tasting for up to four people, valued at $120, at Kuhlman Cellars. Winner must be over 21 years of age. The prize can be claimed at the winery and will be valid until 5/15/20. The prize can not be transferred and has no cash value. Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance.

      Join us at Juliet Italian Kitchen for a four-course dinner with pairings, with special guest Giovanni Mazzei, the current export manager of Marchesi Mazzei and the eldest son of Fillippo Mazzei. From the age of 14, Mazzei was already working the fields during harvest and getting involved with winemaking in his family’s wineries. The dinner will take place on Thursday, October 17, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Menu highlights include pan seared redfish, brown butter gnocchi, pork osso buco and espresso ganache. Each course is paired with varying Mazzei wines.           Join Sommelier Jeb Russell at Rosewood for an intimate, ten-person tasting of Pinot Noir. There will be a large mix of red, sparkling and rosé wines to be tasted alongside light bites from the Rosewood kitchen. The class, tasting and conversation will take two hours, with gratuity and tax included with cost.

            For the first time, Vino Vinyasa and Movement Goddess have teamed up to offer an exclusive half day retreat experience that awakens your senses through paddleboarding, SUP yoga and a comparative wine tasting. (Water and snacks will be provided as well as stand up paddle boards for all participants.)

            Join us on Saturday, August 3 on a private cove on Lake Austin in River Place (location will be sent to attendees upon booking a ticket). This event will seamlessly tie together movement on water through learning to feel your body, your board, and awaken the senses of fluidity and flow. The meditation on the water will bring your mind into a calm but fluid space that sets you up perfectly for wine tasting, which touches on sight, smell, taste and overall mindfulness. The event will end when the sun sets on the water, offering students a gorgeous close to an event that touches all the senses.

            Schedule:

            4:30pm: arrival, check in, move boards into water

            5:00pm: board orientation and movement

            5:15pm: paddle board

            6:00pm: snack and water break

            6:30pm: SUP yoga, incorporating wine facts

            7:30pm: savasana on boards; comparative wine tasting

            8:00pm: sunset play time, photos, snacks

            8:30pm: retreat concludes

            Guests are invited to join us for an optional dinner nearby (price for dinner is not included in ticket cost).

            Wear your bathing suit, bring a towel and we recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen! If you plan to join us for dinner after, you may want to bring a change of clothes. Dinner will be casual.

            In the case of rain, event will be rescheduled and all tickets will be fully refunded.

            Must be 21+ to participate. Wine tasting is optional and complementary.

Each hour long educational class ends with a comparative wine tasting of Fall Creek’s white wines, inviting you to mindfully taste what’s in your glass while applying what you learned through the poses. (We’ll be tasting the Vitner’s Selction Sauvignon Blanc and unoaked Chardonnay!)

              Come flow in the shade outside next to the vines in Driftwood (right across from The Salt Lick). If it’s too hot, we can move class indoors to the Barrel Room.

              After yoga, we invite you to stay for more wine & snacks. Bottles and merchandise will be 15% off for attendees.
