After taking in the 60th anniversary screening of Giant on the Paramount’s big screen, Texans and want-to-be Texans can celebrate in true Lone Star State style at The Driskill Grill with a 3-course meal that would surely get Bick Benedict’s brand of approval. Plus, the complimentary valet with proof of Giant movie ticket purchase is a geyser in Jett Rink’s book. The dinner will take place on Saturday, September 3 at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $55. The Giant menu includes a choice of The Driskill Signature Caesar or Roasted Tomato Bisque for the first course. Entrées include the Wagyu N.Y. Strip with cornbread puree, confit tomato, charred onion oil, and crispy shallots, or Cast Iron Seared Striped Bass with smoked blue corn grits, preserved lemon, braised greens, and sweet tomato butter. For dessert, diners will enjoy the Crunch Bar with vanilla bean ice cream, cremeaux, and candied hazelnut.

In celebration of Gone with the Wind, the Summer Classic Film Series closing night film, movie goers can visit The Driskill’s 1886 Café & Bakery for the famous 1886 Chocolate Cake & Bubbles, offered at $14 with proof of a movie ticket. Stop by to see Miss O’Hara herself who will be sipping some bubbly at the café and receiving admirers from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. before heading to the theatre. Advance reservations are not required.
