February Date Ideas In Austin

8505

Everyone is talking Valentine’s right now but I’m a firm believer that you don’t need a special day to celebrate . If you’re looking to get out of your normal routine this month, here are a few ideas for all budgets.

1. Visit Austin’s new dining hall, Fareground at One Eleven

This place is worth ALL the hype it has been getting. Choose from what you’re feeling from the food hall vendors, grab a cocktail from the bar and enjoy. You can’t go wrong with any of the vendors, it’s our new go-to.

2. Half-Priced Wine at Juliet Italian Kitchen

Is it just us or does wine taste better when it’s half -off? Juliet Italian Kitchen does half off bottles of wine on Tuesdays. Bonus: their patio is one of our favorites in town!

3. Tipster Walking Tour

Explore the city while getting your exercise! Learn something new about the place you live (and love).  Try their East Side Beer Tour for a combo of walking and boozing or the music tour to learn a little bit more about why we’re “The Live Music Capital of the World.”

4. Plant Swap at HOPE Farmer’s Market

Not all dates have to involve food and booze. The HOPE Farmer’s Market does a plant swap each week. That right, you bring seeds, pots, plants, ect. and there’s a swap. Perfect for the botanist in your life.

5. Get Married

Loot Rentals is proud to offer a day of free weddings to be held at the Loot Showroom and Warehouse on Valentine’s Day from 10 AM – 6 PM. The event is available for anyone that is ready to tie the knot or just exchange renewal vows all for free! All couples are welcome as the company is a strong believer that Love is Love.

6. First Saturday at Alta’s Cafe

Okay, so you’re going to have to table this one until March but this is worth noting. On the First Saturday of the month Alta’s Cafe does $10 bottomless mimosas! I’d take a stroll around the lake then post up and enjoy a few post walk cocktails.
