Planners are an integral part of making sure your big day runs smoothly. Whether you use a planner, a day of coordinator, or choose to brave the unknown by yourself, there are multiple options for you. I, personally, used Bird Dog Wedding – Monica made it an absolutely seamless process, and Emily the owner has an amazing eye for design. Emily and Monica work as a team between design and logistics and are the only planners in town that do that. Both elements are so important to the big picture!
We also love MMC Events, their attention to detail and overall style is unmatched. Their expertise expands beyond weddings, in fact we have used them for some of our own events. Megan is a born and bred Austinite who can bring all the spirit of this city to your special event. Keep them in mind for anything from your wedding or engagement party to a retirement party or milestone birthday!
Another popular one is Pearl Events – they are more pricey but a large one in Austin.
If you are not using a planner, definitely look at a typical Wedding Checklist/timeline. This will help you determine which tasks to tackle first and keep you on track until the big day. There are a ton of checklists on Pinterest, the Knot, or if you use Zola (Get $50 Zola credit here) for your wedding website and registry, there is a built in checklist that is super helpful to show you month by month what to accomplish.
Pro Tip: If you don’t get a planner, we highly suggest having a month of, or at least a day of wedding coordinator. Most venues require one now-a-days, and can even provide one through the venue.
