Dell Children’s signature event raised over $1.7 million dollars in 2019 to ensure the best healthcare for all children. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, welcoming over 900 attendees.
As a nonprofit hospital, Dell Children’s relies on community support to ensure sustainability, excellence, and growth. Their  mission is to serve every child’s healthcare needs regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Seventy percent of the children served at the hospital annually are either under-insured or uninsured.
This year’s ball will offer a pre-event VIP reception followed by a cocktail reception for all guests, live music and dancing, a silent and live auction, a preview of Kendra Scott’s spring collection, casino games, and two after-parties! Live music throughout the night will be performed by the Love and Happiness Band, as well as Trey Privott and Derek Van Wagner of Los Coast.
This year’s presenting sponsor, Nyle Maxwell shares, “Dell Children’s provides exceptional care to children in Central Texas and beyond. We’re proud of the work they do to help kids get back to being kids.”
The Ball is led by the 20 for 2020 Leaders consisting of 20 exceptional Austin couples that have helped shape Dell Children’s in its first decade: Sabrina and Jay Brown, Ellen and Tommy Burt, Jamie and Blake Chandlee, Katherine and Matt Gallagher, Katie and Jordan Jaffe, Katherine and Patton Jones, Kim and Daniel Kozmetsky, Dusty and Travis Machen, Lorena and Eduardo Margain, Melody and Shain McCaig, Christine and Louis Messina, Lauren and Reagan Reaud, Kirstin and Joe Ross, Michelle and Robert Strauss, Donna and Andrew Tryba, Lindsay and Joe Warnock, Ashley and Tom Washmon, Sherri and Travis West, Sheena and Adam Wilde, and Sarah and Jeff Zeigler.
Net proceeds will help build a new state-of-the-art complex that will help meet the growing pediatric healthcare needs in Central Texas. The new outpatient facility includes dedicated space for cardiovascular, neurosciences, and cancer programs. The new building will provide expanded specialty care for children and families to keep them close to home.
