Creativity Starts at Cordovan Art School


Cordovan Art School is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an amazing offering of classes, camps, party packages, and more. Founded in 2009 by award-winning artist, John Howell, Cordovan has expanded to five local studios in Cedar Park, Georgetown, Northwest Austin, Round Rock, and Southwest Austin. 

Summer Camps
Cordovan offers some of the best creative summer camps in the greater Austin area. With over 35 camps to choose from and optional extended care available, there is plenty to enjoy this summer for creative kids and teenagers of all skill levels, ages 5-16.

Their blockbuster “Creativity Starts Here” camps include Talk with the Animals (a camp with live animals), Anime Unleashed, The Art of Hogwarts, Yay Clay, Pokémon, Theater Camp, and Take an ART-Selfie, to name a few! A variety of mediums will be used, including watercolors, acrylics, colored pencils, graphite, oil pastels, pottery, clay, pen & ink, and all sorts of mixed media. Half- and full-day camps are available all summer to fit your family’s schedule. 

Art Classes
In addition to their award-winning summer camps, Cordovan Art School studios are filled in the afternoons and evenings with art classes for kids, homeschool families, teens, and adults. Cordovan is also great for anyone hoping to rekindle their love for learning and creativity. Teachers are professional artists who are passionate about art, care about their students, and work together to make the community a better place. 

Pottery Painting
Cordovan Art School’s Pottery Parlor is a walk-in, paint your own pottery studio located at their Cedar Park location and Northwest Austin location. Individuals, families, and friends can select from hundreds of fun and functional ceramic pieces and personalize them with their individual creativity and style. Choose from a wide variety of kitchenware, garden gnomes, animals, airplanes, characters, and more. Pottery painting is open to all ages. There is a $6 studio fee per person + the cost of the item. 

Get a group together for a ceramic or canvas painting party. All ages are welcome and Cordovan caters to all kinds of occasions. Birthdays, scout troops, school field trips, and team-building corporate events can be celebrated in a fun and creative way. Rent a party room at one of their five locations or have Cordovan come to you. Parties come with a dedicated host/professional artist, commemorative plate (ceramic party), hassle-free cleanup, and all the fun anyone can handle.
