Back in May when they opened, we were ecstatic to be writing about an opening rather than a closing—and all these strange months in, this has held up as a great addition to the city! Hold Out Brewing is in old west Austin, across the courtyard from Better Half Coffee and Cocktails and they are here to give you a pandemic pick-me-up.
Austin’s newest brewpub is “open” as they like to put it with modified offerings to keep us all happy and safe. Their patio is heated and has plenty of air flow if you want to book an outside table for this weekend.
They have burgers, dogs, and cans of beer and gloved service with a smile (behind a mask). No muss, no fuss. Just another great excuse to make a beer run!
Hours: Tues-Fri, 11 a.m.– 10 p.m. and Sat-Sun, 10 a.m.–10 p.m.

In her previous life, Kristy was an uninspired realtor who was feeling a little bit bored with her day to day. So on January 1, 2010, she made a New Year’s resolution to write about one thing to do each day in her beloved city of Austin, Texas. And thus, 365 Things Austin was born.
