The Austin Duck Derby will launch 10,000 adopted yellow rubber ducks into Lady Bird Lake, where they’ll race to the finish line for prizes for their sponsors.

Not only does Duck Derby support a fantastic cause, as it benefits the Austin Boys & Girls Club Foundation; it will also be pretty cool to see!

For as little as a five-dollar donation, you can ‘adopt’ one of the rubber ducks. If your sponsored duck the first across the finish line, you could win the grand prize- a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta.

I suggest upping your chances by going with the ‘flock of ducks’ package- 25 ducks for $100.
