We need all the new things to do outside in the open air these days, and this place looks like a ton of fun. Spider Mountain Bike Park is in Burnet, on the shores of Lake Buchanan just 60 miles northwest of Austin! And this place is the state’s first and only lift-served mountain bike park. It’s also the only lift-served, year-round mountain bike park in the U.S.

The first chairlift in Texas provides mountain bikers with 350 vertical feet of gravity fueled fun! From the top, you have the choice of nine trails ranging from beginner to expert to bring you back to the bottom of the lift.

Once you’ve had your fill of the trails, you can sample their lake resort amenities nearby at Thunderbird Lodge at Spider Mountain. They offer lodging, camping, SUP and boat rentals at a private marina!
