Austin Aztex will be going head to head against Los Angeles Galaxy II for their next home game Saturday, August 15th.  Following the Memorial Day flooding of Shoal Creek that resulted in major damage to House Park, the Austin Aztex will be playing the remainder of their 2015 season home games at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex in northwest Austin.

With this new temporary move they are offering free rides to ticket holders on Capital Metro’s MetroRail service for the remainder of their 2015 regular season home games. The team will have shuttles taking fans from the Lakeline MetroRail Station to the game and will shuttle fans back after the game ends.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer Aztex fans an easy and stress-free way to get to the games without all the traffic and parking hassles,” said Dan Dawson, Capital Metro vice president of marketing and communications. “This is a first of its kind collaboration, and we hope people will use our mobile app to get real time departure information, then hop aboard the train and enjoy the game.” Dawson noted there are several Park & Rides located along the MetroRail line, making it convenient for people to leave their cars and take the train to the Lakeline Station.

To ride for free, ticket holders will need to do the following:

1. Visit www.austinaztex.com/capmetro and print the free pass, located in the link.
2. Tickets available for purchase at this link. All riders must show the free pass AND a game ticket for that day in order to ride at no charge.
3. Check the MetroRail schedule online: www.capmetro.org
4. Find the Aztex Shuttle sign at the Lakeline MetroRail station and wait for the shuttle. Aztex will then provide a free shuttle from the Lakeline Station to Kelly Reeves and back to the Lakeline Station between 6-11 p.m. (Shortly after 11 p.m. is the LAST train southbound).

The Aztex have also partnered with The League Kitchen and Tavern as the official pregame and postgame location for Austin Aztex fans to socialize, celebrate, and get ready for the game. As part of the exclusive partnership with The League, they will be offering a late night happy hour after each game that will include great specials which includes Shiner specials of $2 pints and $3 22oz mugs! The late night happy hour will include $2 off all large drafts, $2 off all wine by the glass, $1 off liquor, and half-price select appetizers.

Starting at 6 p.m., there will be a complimentary shuttle picking up fans at CapMetro’s Lakeline MetroRail station and taking fans to The League and Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex. After the game Aztex players will join fans at The League for their postgame meal and to hang out with Aztex fans.

The games are family-friendly and offer a unique game day experience with live music by Valise (http://www.valisemusic.com) at the 8/15 game, various delicious food trucks for concessions curated by @FoodTrucksATX, activities for kids including small sided games, a jumping castle, and much more!

Ticket prices are available at $15-$25 for adults, $10-$20 for children 12 and under along with military and students, children under the age of three are free, and VIP seating is $70 per ticket. The Austin Aztex are also offering a special ‘Family 4 Pack’ ticket promotion to encourage families to come out to the game that include food and beverage vouchers.  The first 100 fans at the game will receive a collective poster.
