The Salt Lick, in a new partnership with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Lone Star Beer, is excited to announce the BBQ restaurant’s first-ever public film screening events set to take place at the Salt Lick’s Pecan Grove, which lies adjacent to the original Driftwood restaurant.
On Saturday, November 21, the Three Amigos! film screening festivities will begin with live music from an authentic mariachi band. The event will include a BBQ buffet, plenty of Lone Star Beer for the adults (and sodas for the kids), and a screening of Three Amigos! where guests can participate in a quote-along with the film, a salute-along with the amigo salute, a sing-along to “My Little Buttercup,” and a shoot-along with cap guns—although guests should be sure to aim their caps up in the air so they don’t accidentally kill the invisible swordsman.
Food service will open by 5:30 p.m. with music starting at 6:30 p.m. and the movie screening commencing at 7:30 p.m. Cash and credit will be accepted at the door and bar. All ages are welcome to attend, although minors must be accompanied by an adult to gain entry to each film screening event. Additionally, if ticket-holders buy a Movie-Only ticket and want to later add a meal, this option can be added at the door day of the event.
The event is set to occur rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the film screening will move inside to venue hall at Pecan Grove. For any questions, please email comments.rrs@drafthouse.com.
