Austin composer Nathan Felix and this year’s Draylen Mason Composer-in-Residence Sophie Mathieu have co-curated KMFA’s 2nd Annual Unofficial SXSW Contemporary Classical Day Party in the Draylen Mason Music Studio on Saturday, March 9 from Noon to 6:00 p.m.
Enjoy free music throughout the afternoon by local contemporary classical artists including Akins Sinfonietta Orchestra, Austin Percussion Collective, Esteban Alvarez, Jessy Eubanks, Density512, Maru, Middle Sattre, Khalo Quartet + James Tecuatl-Lee, Panoramic Voices, Perpetual Motion, Kimberly Sandoval, Mago Sextet, and other special guests.
The event is FREE and open to the public when you RSVP in advance.
Guests can enjoy complimentary beverages from Tito’s Handmade Vodka and STILL Austin.
