Conversation w/ Jeffrey Tambor
Aug 31, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
August 18, 2016 (Austin, TX)—The Larry Sanders Show, Arrested Development, The Hangover, and now Transparent—Jeffrey Tambor is back to pushing the envelope and getting noticed. This Golden Globe and Emmy-winning powerhouse personality is treating the Long Center to career tidbits and life observations November 19. You can reserve your front row seat for this one-night lecture of life and hilarity today!
Tambor has long been a staple in our consumption of stage, television, and film. You know him as Hank Kingsley from The Larry Sanders Show, bellowing his famous catchphrase, “Hey nowww!” and selling unsafe garden tools to little old ladies. You also know him as George Sr., the imprisoned patriarch of Arrested Development’s once-wealthy and continually dysfunctional Bluth family.
Today, Jeffrey Tambor is at it again, entertaining audiences with what he refers to as a once-in-a-lifetime role, the transgender patriarch-turned-matriarch in Amazon’s hit new series—Transparent. The critics are buzzing, and this pioneering role has won Tambor many accolades, including the 2016 and 2015 Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor in a comedy series, the 2015 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a comedy series and the 2015 Emmy for Lead Actor in a comedy Series.
Tambor has long achieved and sustained success by “performing his life.” Highly creative and with an overwhelming love for life, he uses the lessons learned along the way as sparks of inspiration for his seminar-like presentations. Tambor’s captivating and personal lecture style is a performance in itself as he helps audience members realize and dismiss their greatest fears and perceived limitations that hold them back in life. But more than just a presentation, Tambor’s conversation style is interactive, humorous, real, and most importantly, relatable.
We may be used to Jeffrey Tambor’s on-screen catchphrases, parental advice, and larger-than-life characters, but this is a whole new type of lecture. This Critics’ Choice, Golden Globe, and Emmy Award-winner is coming to Austin for you—to leave audiences laughing, empowered, and ready for more.
Spend an entertaining evening with this uniquely talented actor and dynamite personality as he talks about his career and his life observations, November 19.
