Drive-in movies were always a fun night out, but in 2020, they have become more relevant than we could have even imagined. There are lots of options popping up all over the city, but one of our favorites has come up with a genius idea.

On Wednesday, August 26th, Blue Starlite is opening its third Central Texas location Downtown Austin! This is a collaboration between them and the Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation and it’s something completely new and pandemic friendly—a rooftop drive-in movie on the roof of a building with a 360-degree View of the Austin skyline surrounding you! You just enter the parking garage at 300 San Antonio Street, show your ticket, and drive to the rooftop.

Tickets are available now and will go quickly, so snag yours for the first week’s showings, which include Dazed and Confused and Hairspray.

When: Wednesday, August 26th (soft opening)

Location:
300 San Antonio Street
Austin, TX 78701
