Throughout the month of December, you can get into the holiday spirit while supporting our local businesses in the 2nd Street District! Their festivities get bigger and better every year. Spend a day with friends and family, grab a bite to eat, do some holiday shopping, and enjoy beautiful installations.

New this year, the Holiday Window Walk will feature art installations from local Texas artists. Additionally, the Santa on 2nd event at the W Austin hotel will invite Austinites to snap a photo with Santa, partake in holiday crafts, and more.

Starting on Friday, November 25th, visitors can watch the storefronts of 2nd Street District businesses transform into decorative holiday scenes during the twelfth annual Holiday Window Walk. This year, the District is working with professional Texas artists to create holiday-inspired art installations in the storefront windows. Participating stores include Bonobos, Luxe Apothetique, and Sneaker Politics.

On Saturday, December 3rd, come to the Santa on 2nd holiday event at the W Austin hotel. From noon–4 p.m. guests can snap their annual photo with Santa for free (prints and digital copies will be provided), create holiday crafts, and enjoy hot non-alcoholic beverages and cookies.

During the event guests can also sneak away to the Apres Ski: Holiday Bar at W Austin. W Austin’s Living Room will be transformed into a cozy ski lodge bar where you can enjoy delicious winter beverages, holiday entertainment, and photo ops.
