In Texas, it’s always chili cook-off season. And for you chili lovers out there, this is your chance to spend your Sunday filling up on delicious chili for a good cause. This year the cook-off is sponsored by Shiner, and there are few combinations better than warm chili and a cool brew.

Some of the best restaurants come together for a one of kind cook-off. Last year, participating restaurants included Sway, La Condesa, Arcade Midtown Kitchen, Foreign and Domestic, Tacodeli, and Ranch 616.  Needless to say, all of the chili is delicious. On top of good eats, they will also have live music, prizes, and other makings of a epic Sunday Funday!

Proceeds will benefit the 100 Club, a non-profit organization that helps families of fire fighters and law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

The is a free event but there’s a $20 fee for tastings of all the chili entries.
