AIDS Walk Austin

AIDS Services of Austin (ASA) announced the addition of two new musical acts to the 29th annual AIDS Walk Austin, which returns Sunday, October 16 to benefit 11 local HIV and AIDS advocacy organizations. Austin-based psychedelic pop band Wildcat Apollo and reggae rocker Graham Wilkinson will take the stage at Palm Park during the day-long event featuring food and entertainment.
Nakia, Austin-based singer-songwriter and former semifinalist of NBC’s The Voice, will lead this year’s walk as the 2016 Honorary Chair before joining his band, Nakia and the Blues Grifters, to close out the walk with a live, headlining performance. In addition to live music, 97.5 Pride Radio will be playing upbeat, pop music onsite throughout the day. Chris Saldaña, morning anchor of CBS Austin This Morning, will return as the guest emcee.
