ALL OUT 2017 at McKinney Roughs Nature Park

REI wants to help you meet your outdoor goals in 2017, whether it be learning how to mountain bike, completing a 5k trail run, or something as simple as taking a camp cooking class. The outdoors has something for everyone. Let’s go ALL OUT together on Saturday, Jan. 28. Join REI and LCRA at McKinney Roughs Nature Park for classes on Ultralight Backpacking (1pm), LCRA parks (11am & 2pm), primitive fire starting (12pm) and more. There will be trails open for hiking, refreshments, a s’mores-making station, a camping gear demo area, and the LCRA rock climbing wall! Chat with our partners from Austin Ridge Riders, and learn about how they serve the local mountain biking community. Meet local Master Naturalists and hike with them along the trails of McKinney Roughs. REI Outdoor School will also run Mountain Bike Rides, a Photo Tour and a Map and Compass Basics class – registration is required for these classes at REI.com/Learn. What’s more – REI will cover the park entrance fee for the FIRST 100 ATTENDEES (after 10am). #OptOutside with REI for one or many ALL OUT activities, and kick off 2017 in the right direction.
