Local “southern-fried vintage jazz” musician Datri Bean will discuss how music compositions that she’s chosen connect to paintings, drawings, and sculptures on display. Beat the Rush is a guided musical tour of performances by small ensembles in a sequence of galleries in the museum.

6:30 p.m.: Perspectives at the Blanton: James Drake & David Krakauer Art and science meet face to face when internationally acclaimed artist James Drake sits down with renowned physicist David Krakauer to discuss how artists and scientists envision the future.

6:30 p.m.: Spanish language tour

The Blanton is excited to introduce our new Spanish language gallery tour, occurring every Third Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

7:30 p.m.: Art Gazes

Build a deep connection with the collection. This series of gallery talks features slow, contemplative conversations that focus on a particular work in the Blanton.
