Art In Hyde Park: Wildflower Awareness Week Celebration!

April showers bring May flowers and that couldn’t be more true than at the Elisabet Ney Museum this year.

Come celebrate with the Ney’s Plein Air Wildflower Awareness Week Celebration on Saturday May 4! Starting at 8AM, members of Plein Air Austin will assemble at the Ney grounds for “Art in Hyde Park”! They will continue to paint, draw, pastel, and sketch “Formosa” and its beautiful grounds all morning. At 1PM there will be a group critique of the morning’s work. At 2PM there will be an afternoon demo of plein air painting for visitors. At 4, join the artists for a reception and exhibition in the museum itself! The group’s works from sites all over the city will be on display from Wednesday May 1 through Sunday May 5.
