Austin Asian American Film Festival Presents: Farah Goes Bang

Join us at Violet Crown Austin for a screening of FARAH GOES BANG from director Meera Menon (EQUITY). Winner of Best Narrative Feature at AAAFF 2014, this road trip comedy weaves a coming-of-age journey into a charged moment in American political history. It’s also the winner of the Nora Ephron Prize at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival and Best Narrative Feature at CAAMFest 2014.
It’s the summer of 2004, and twentysomething Farah Mahtab, along with her friends K.J. and Roopa, hit the road to knock on doors for the John Kerry campaign in Ohio. But the women have a parallel mission: to help Farah lose her virginity.
