In this hot weather what better to do than eat hot sauce? This has become the world’s largest hot sauce festival, what can we say, Austin knows its salsa!

Come hungry! The hot sauce contest has three levels of competition, individuals (homemade), restaurants, and commercial bottlers. They will also have plenty of food vendors including Curra’s Grill, Torchy’s Tacos and more serving up their specialty dishes.

As all good festivals have in Austin they will have live music throughout the day.

Not only is this event one of kind it benefits the Capital Area Food Bank. Last year they raised over 43,000 meals for families in the Austin area.
