Austin Events Calendar Celebrates 10 Years
November 21 ‘Austin’s Yellow Calendar Chase’ to feature local icons, fun
AUSTIN, TEXAS – (November 4, 2015) –With more than 250 events and activities included, the Austin Events Calendar has grown to become the go-to authority for everything Austin, from large scale events like ACL and South by Southwest, to Eeyore’s Birthday Party and the Zilker Kite Festival.
“Most people recognize it as the big yellow calendar,” said Mike Stefanik, the calendar’s creator. “Our team chases down event information and compiles it into one beautiful wall calendar so that Austinites can plan and enjoy unique events throughout the area without spinning their wheels searching several sources.”
Now it’s the public’s turn to do the chasing. To mark the calendar’s 10-year anniversary and the launch of the 2016 calendar, Austin Events Calendar will host a walkable, photo scavenger hunt spotlighting iconic locations in Austin. The after party will feature prizes and local entertainment.
